The Three Protectors: Avalokitesvara

First in a series of talks by Parami looking at the Three Protectors – Avalokitesvara, Manjusri, and Vajrapani. Here, she focusses on Avalokitesvara, the embodiment of Great Compassion. How can the figure and symbolism of Avalokitesvara help us, especially in difficult times?

The talk was given online in October 2020 at Manchester Buddhist Centre’s Sangha evening and begins with an acknowledgement of the pandemic through which we are living.┬áThe forty-minute recording is of Parami’s talk, omitting the group discussion that followed.
