Our precautions regarding Coronavirus, COVID-19

Handwashing sign

We are continuing to monitor the unfolding spread of the new coronavirus, COVID-19, and are abiding by government guidelines.  As a result, we have introduced the following measures:

  • Instructing all teachers, staff and volunteers who feel unwell or concerned to stay at home
  • Making anti-bacterial soap broadly available and visible and disinfecting high-use surfaces daily, including door handles and lift buttons
  • We are continually reminding staff, teachers, volunteers and visitors about washing hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds at a time. Please do wash your hands thoroughly upon arriving at the Centre, and continue to do so during the day if you’re here for a course, especially if you leave the building and come back
  • We’ll also provide tissues.  Please cover any coughs or sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin provided
  • We are asking anyone with a respiratory illness, flu-like symptoms, or feeling unwell in any way, NOT to travel to the Centre. We are temporarily suspending our refund policy and will offer a full refund or a transfer to another course to anyone who is feeling ill or concerned

The government has listed high-risk areas / countries by category 1 (highest risk areas) and category 2 areas. Please do get in touch with us if you have recently visited these places and are planning on visiting the Centre.  You can contact us on 0161 834 9232, or email us at info@manchesterbuddhistcentre.org.uk

In view of the rapidly changing nature of this situation, you may wish to check the website before you attend an event to confirm it’s running
