Ordinations in a Time of Covid-19

Ordinations into the Triratna Buddhist Order continue in new and innovative ways despite the obvious constraints. This autumn a group of Dharma women and men make that great commitment, with four of them coming from our Manchester Sangha – Sandy Staplehurst, Gill Parry, Alex Stirling and Michael Proctor.

The two ceremonies – for women and for men – are live-streamed this year. Expect plenty of joy as you watch a timeless ritual with the traditional offerings of flower, candle, incense; receiving the kesa – the white sash that signifies membership of the Order – and receiving a new Buddhist name!
