Socks and Shrine Goods

Mo outside the Centre

We’ll soon be reporting back on the response to our funding appeal, but in the meantime, just to let you know that December’s craft stall brought in a fantastic £1,016 and we’ve got another brilliant sale coming up. A big thank you too to everyone who set yourselves up with Give as you Live which is already bringing in useful funds.

Kula Crafts

We had everything from luxurious hot water bottle covers to spirally scarfs and funky hats this year. Colourful cotton dishcloths from Sangha member Mo McGuinness (pictured) were among the best sellers. Mo said:

I make them by using up odds and ends from other projects. They’re washable, last a long time, and are great for the environment. I was really happy they all got snapped up so quickly and I’m already on with making stuff for the next stall”.

A very big thank you to Jo Massey for setting up the stall, and making her usual amazing contributions. Thanks also to Ann Dillon, Janet Hill and Abhayamani for some beautifully crafted clothes, which really lit up the stall.

Shrine Sale

Our next generosity-based sale is the one where we invite you to bring in any Buddha figures, incense, singing bowls, framed pictures, candle holders and so on that you no longer need – anything that would go on a shrine really, though you don’t have to actually have a shrine to join in! The sale starts on 20th February and we’d love your donations any time up to then. Thank you!
