Half Price Art Sale

Sat 25th Nov

Landscape Painting, trees against mountain

Over the last few months, Amritasakhi and friends have been making their art available for us to enjoy, and to raise money for two fantastic causes. All the art work is donated by artists from our Sangha, or community, and all proceeds will be shared equally between Manchester Buddhist Centre and Tiratanaloka Unlimited.

From 25th November until the exhibition closes on 11th December, all Amritasakhi’s paintings are half price!

The exhibition and sale is on our ground floor, just beyond the shop and open whenever the Centre is open. Everyone welcome, bring your friends!

Amritasakhi is donating her collection of work (spanning many years!) which she is finally letting go of as part of her spiritual practice.

Tiratanaloka Unlimited

Tiratanaloka Unlimited is a huge fundraising project aimed at buying a larger retreat centre to help women become ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order. The aim is to raise around £1,500,000. The current Tiratanaloka retreat centre is far too small and it is very difficult for women to get onto essential ordination training retreats. There are long waiting lists. A new centre will be bigger, more accessible and able to support a much larger number of women in their spiritual journey.

Manchester Buddhist Centre

We are a registered charity (registration number 514937) with no official funders or large donors. As a small community based charity, with a large building to maintain during difficult economic times, we need your help!
