Buddhist Action Month: Shared Lunch and Six Elements Yatra Walk

Sat 29th Jun : 12:45 pm - 4:00 pm

Highfielde Country Park Pond

Woods in the City

Everyone welcome to join us at Highfield Country Park in Levenshulme, Manchester. Meet inside the entrance on Bowler Street. Please wear suitable clothes for walking – the ground may be muddy if it has rained. There are no toilets in the park, but we can use those in local pubs and cafés.

No charge, but as an unfunded charity, we rely on the generosity of people who use and value the Centre to help cover running costs, over £6,000 a week. We will welcome donations on the day and beyond. No need to book, just turn up a few minutes before we start.

Programme

12.45 pm: Optional shared lunch. Please bring vegan food to share. If it's vegetarian but not vegan, please label it clearly.
2 pm: Yatra walk and ritual

What is a Yatra Walk?

A Yatra is a Buddhist-inspired walk: we walk mindfully, opening our senses to the landscape and allowing space for any thoughts and feelings that may arise. We will also perform a ritual in this space, drawing on the ancient energies of the woodland.

Buddhist Action Month is an annual festival of Buddhist social action
