Commemorating the Anniversary of Bhante’s Death

Wed 30th Oct : 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Sangharakshita

Our teacher, Bhante Sangharakshita, died on 30th October 2018. This evening, Dayanandi and Ratnaguna will lead us in commemorating the anniversary of his death, with talks from Amaradaya and Siladevi on Bhante’s teachings and their significance for the world today. There will also be a special ritual.

Who is the event for?

It’s for Order members, Mitras and Centre regulars who have completed a Buddhism Going Deeper course. Please get in touch if you’re not sure. No need to book, just turn up a few minutes before we start. No charge, but as an unfunded charity, we rely on the generosity of people who use and value the Centre to help cover running costs, over £6,000 a week. We will welcome donations on the day and beyond.

Programme

7pm: Introduction and setting the scene, led by Ratnaguna
7.20pm: Amaradaya and Siladevi giving short talks about Bhante and his teachings, followed by a discussion
8.30pm: 7 fold puja celebrating Bhante and his teachings, led by Dayanandi
9.30pm: End
