Brahma Viharas Weekend with Satyamuni and Saccacitta

Sat 9th Mar : 10:30 am - Sun 10th Mar : 4:30 pm

Japanese Avalokitesvara

Satyamuni and Saccacitta lead the first of two weekends at the Centre for Order Members and Mitras Training for Ordination exploring the Brahma Viharas. Come to one weekend or both. The weekend is non-residential and runs at the same times each day. No need to book, just turn up a few minutes before we start.

Surrendering to a Boundless Heart

To live united is a challenge. In whichever direction we turn suffering is so apparent, and the amount of information which we expose ourselves to can create confusion, contradiction, overwhelm and anger. We are also not immune to such suffering in our Sangha.

If we don’t train our minds and hearts, we tend to rely on polarising views and opinions conditioned by greed, hatred and delusion – however subtle. The Brahmaviharas offer a radically different approach: the surrendering of our small views and opinions, hopes and fears, to the wisdom of a boundless heart and the realm of Bodhisattvas and Buddhas.

Join Saccacitta and Satyamuni as, through meditation, reflection and ritual, they share their approaches and relationship to the Brahma Viharas. Through a variety of different approaches, the focus will be on how we can experience the Brahma Viharas as living dynamic principles that have profound universal relevance and impact.
