Going Deeper in Meditation Online with Vajradevi: Uncontrived Mindfulness

Vajradevi joins us for a special Going Deeper session on the publication of her first book, Uncontrived Mindfulness: Ending Suffering through Attention, Curiosity and Wisdom.
Who is the event for?
It’s suitable for anyone familiar with the two meditation practices we teach here – Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana – and with at least six months regular meditation practice.These sessions are an opportunity to come together and practise, with a focus on deepening meditation. Each week, as a community, we explore different aspects and approaches to our meditation practice. The evenings vary, but you can expect periods of meditation with short talks and discussion - sometimes in small groups - and a ten-minute break around the mid-point.
Vajradevi and Uncontrived Mindfulness
Uncontrived Mindfulness is a deep dive into the practice of exploring our experience as it happens. The emphasis throughout is on cultivating wisdom, using the tools of attention and curiosity to recognise and see through the delusion that is causing our suffering.
Vajradevi is a warm and insightful guide to this exploration, drawing on her intensive and wide-ranging practice of Satipatthana meditation. The clear explanations and instructions are amplified by Vajradevi’s personal accounts, charting her uncompromising voyage into self-discovery.
