Meditation Night Online with Paramananda
Mon 6th Dec : 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The Body of Imagination
Tonight we are excited to welcome Paramananda to lead our weekly meditation evening. Paramananda is an exceptionally well-loved and experienced teacher, and author of several highly acclaimed books on Buddhist meditation, including Change your Mind and The Myth of Meditation.
Tonight we will investigate the relation between the direct experience of our own bodies and the idea of insight within the Buddhist tradition, touching upon the first Noble Truth and the Three Marks of Reality.
Broadening and Deepening our PracticeThese evenings are an opportunity to come together and practise, with a focus on deepening meditation. Each week, as a community, we explore different aspects and approaches to our meditation practice. The structure varies but you can expect periods of meditation with short talks and discussion - sometimes in small groups - and a ten-minute break around the mid-point.
Who is the Evening for?
It’s suitable for anyone familiar with the two practices we teach here – Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana, and with a regular meditation practice.
