How to go Deeper in Meditation: Reflecting on the Three Jewels of Buddhism
Mon 6th Jul : 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
There are many ways we can work on our mind, but one of the most direct is through meditation. It’s not always clear though how to work with our mind effectively in meditation, or how we can access deeper states of mindfulness. Experienced meditation teachers will address these questions, both in theory and practice, during these evening sessions. This evening Dayanandi leads the second of two sessions on empathy.
Who is the event for?
It’s suitable for anyone familiar with the two meditation practices we teach here – Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana – and with at least six months regular meditation practice.

I’d like to share a contemplation, reflective meditation I do sometimes to start off my practice, or sometimes as a longer practice. I’d like to do a reflection on the Three Jewels of Buddhism: the Buddha, Dharma (the Buddha’s teaching) and Sangha (the community of people practicing Buddhism). I contemplate the Buddha in various ways, then a Dharma teaching and then reflect on a Buddhist teacher from the past who I feel deep confidence in. It could be someone human or archetypal/mythical. I find that this practice helps strengthen my faith and inspiration and brings a lot of positivity
7 pm: Meditation and teaching – please arrive by 7 pm
8 pm: Group work / Questions and Answers
