Entertaining Cancer: Book Launch with Devamitra and Ratnaguna

Mon 23rd May : 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

This is a remarkable book – honest, lucid, unflinching, funny and radical in its willingness to confront the facts of life and death. Devamitra tells the story of prostate cancer, and how his Buddhist practice met the challenges of diagnosis and treatment, even how cancer led to the deepening of his practice and his love of life.
Maitreyabandhu, author of Life with Full Attention and The Journey and the Guide

Everyone welcome at an evening with actor and Buddhist teacher Devamitra, as he launches his new book, Entertaining Cancer, in conversation with Ratnaguna. This is an in-person event, here at the Buddhist Centre. No charge, no need to book. Arrive at 6.30 pm with food to eat together and have a chat if you like, or for a 7 pm start in the shrine room. Devamitra will speak about the book and answer questions, and we hope to have signed copies available for sale.
