An Evening on Getting Involved

Tue 9th Aug : 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Sangha sitting in shrine room

Stepping into our Buddhist Community

If you’ve recently completed an evening course or two here and liked what you found, or have become a regular at Saturday’s Tools for Living your Life, this is a chance to hear about ways you might get more involved in Buddhism and our community. We’ll be running similar evenings through the year, after each six-week Buddhism course.

Members of our Sangha, or community, will be here to let you know what’s available, answer questions and talk about our own involvement at the Centre, through volunteering, further study or interest groups like the Young Buddhists or People of Colour. This will be a friendly, informal evening with a chance to get to know other people considering taking things a bit further.

Arrive at 6.30 pm if you like, and bring your own food to eat downstairs or just have a chat together, then it’s a 7 pm start in the shrine room. No charge, no need to book, no commitment expected!

Health Issues

If there are any health issues, physical, emotional or mental, that could affect your participation in a course or event, please contact the Buddhist Centre at info@manchesterbuddhistcentre.org.uk, and ask to talk confidentially to one of our Order members, before deciding whether to attend.

Supporting the Buddhist Centre

Through the pandemic we have lost much of our income, and as a registered charity we need your help! So if you value our Centre and community, please think about making a regular or one-off donation here - choose Donate with Card if you don't have a PayPal account and do get in touch with any queries. Thank you!
