Everyone welcome at this friendly and practical online introduction to Buddhism and meditation, newcomers along with regulars. Ratnaguna will lead this session and explore the second of the Buddha’s Noble Truths, exploring why we experience suffering, or unsatisfactoriness, in our lives. We’ll also meditate together. On 11th April, Chandana and Sal will look at the third Noble Truth of the cessation of suffering, and on 18th April it’s the path leading to the cessation of suffering with Suryaka

The Coronavirus outbreak means Manchester Buddhist Centre is closed to the public until at least 20th April. We are committed to continuing to share our teachings and practices during this challenging period and some of our classes, courses and other events are now available online through Zoom. Please check the website frequently, and join our mailing list to stay up to date with new online events.

Supporting the Centre

Given the uncertainty of these times, and our need to offer love and support to each other, we believe the Buddha's teachings around interconnectedness and compassion are more relevant than ever. We want to offer as many of our events freely online to all who need them and would like to join in. Obviously, these are very difficult times financially for charities, and courses and classes make up a significant part of our income at Manchester Buddhist Centre. Therefore, if you are in a position to donate, and would like to, then please think about making a regular or one-off donation here. Our usual rates for these classes are £6 standard rate or £4 concessionary rate

We are all Interconnected

The Buddha taught that we are deeply interconnected in seen and unseen ways. This virus has affected us all and we as a community continue to send our well-wishing and care to all those throughout the world who have been severely affected by it.
