Order Study Day with Sagaramati: Conditionality

Sun 9th Jun : 10:30 am - 4:30 pm

A day of study and friendship for local members of the Triratna Buddhist Order, led by Sagaramati. Sagaramati will be taking a new look at what we call conditioned co-production, or pratitya-samutpada, examining some of the Pali suttas with their Chinese parallels. He’ll also be looking at how conditionality is understood in Mahayana Buddhism, within the Madhyamika and Yogachara, and examining the mysterious nature in which it works. In particular, the fact that the Buddha only ever taught the how never the why!

Practical Arrangements

• No charge, but as an unfunded charity, we rely on the generosity of people who use and value the Centre to help cover running costs of over £6,000 a week. We will welcome donations on the day and beyond
