A Joyful Resonance
This day gives us an opportunity to immerse ourselves in Mudita, that joyful resonance with another’s joy, another’s happiness, good qualities, and skilful actions. How wonderful! Mudita is often the most neglected Brahma Vihara quality, which is sad because it is vital that it’s in balance with Karuna. Through meditation and discussion, we will deepen our understanding of why this is so. This will allow us to experience Mudita’s potent, expansive, and heart-opening effects. One of the joyous aspects of opening our hearts in this way, is that we can let go of our limited selves, all that preoccupation with me and mine, and enter a boundless dimension of being where all boundaries dissolve.
