Join us for our Day Retreat for People of Colour in the heart of the Manchester.
Whether you’ve meditated before, or it’s your first time, our People of Colour
Day Retreats provide a unique opportunity to connect with others, create a sense
of community and discover your own path towards freedom.
• Book your place through EventBrite
Led by experienced people of colour meditation teacher Aryarakshita. There’ll be introductions to both mindfulness and kindness meditations, guided sessions and periods to connect and share with others. There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to seek advice and pick up tips and techniques, to either start your meditation practice or take it to a deeper level.
Join us on this People of Colour Day Retreat, to have a taste of the experience of stillness, joy and calm that meditation provides to help you to feel nourished, rejuvenated and alive!
This event is freely given, donations welcome. Donations will be collected on the day – give what you can, no amount is too little.
Our People of Colour events are gatherings for people who come from the richly diverse lived experiences of these intentionally welcomed identities: Black, and people of colour inclusive of Asian, South East Asian, Latinx, Arab / Middle Eastern, biracial, mixed heritage, and multiracial.
The day is open to newcomers and those who have been practising for some time.
• Arrive at 10 am to meet, relax, settle in with a drink, then it’s a prompt 10.30 start
• Please bring your own vegetarian or vegan food for lunch, or support one of the local cafés and takeaways
• You don’t need to bring anything else or wear anything special, but you might want some socks as we take our shoes off in the meditation halls
