Poetry Discussion: Wallace Stevens 2

Sat 13th Oct : 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Stairwell at Manchester Buddhist Centre

The Centre’s small and friendly poetry group, led by Edmund Prestwich — all welcome. A free event, no need to book. We’re continuing with Wallace Stevens this month but there’s no need to have been to our last session.

Please bring copies of the following poems and try to read them in advance. Edmund’s website has full information on where to find them:

• The Idea of Order at Key West
• Sunday Morning
• The House was Quiet and the World was Calm
• The Plain Sense of Things
• The Snow Man

Monthly Poetry Discussion

We usually, but not always, get together on the second Saturday of the month to discuss a poet and their work, usually, but not always, a modern one. We sometimes take a break in the summer and at other holiday times. Keep an eye on What’s On for details. It's always safest to check the website before setting off in case the details have changed

Creative Writing at the Buddhist Centre

Various writing groups come and go at the Centre, organised by their own members - keep an eye on the notice board on the ground floor. There are occasional one-off creative writing events here too - check What's On.

Health Issues

If there are any health issues, physical, emotional or mental, that could affect your participation in a course or event, please contact the Buddhist Centre on 0161 834 9232, and ask to talk confidentially to one of our Order members, before deciding whether to attend.

Supporting the Buddhist Centre

We rely on the generosity of those who use the centre to help keep it going, so please join in and give
