Saying Farewell and Rejoicing in Satyamuni

Wed 26th Feb : 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Satyamuni

An evening of celebration, rejoicings and best wishes for Satyamuni, as we bid her farewell from Manchester for a while. She’ll be joining the support team at Akashavana, the women’s retreat centre in Spain, and will be leaving in early March. Satyamuni has been a member of the Sangha for many years, contributing to teaching introductory and follow-on courses for newcomers, leading Sangha and women’s retreats, and more recently leading study and helping women to deepen their Buddhist practice.

Come join us to celebrate and rejoice in her qualities and all that she has given over the years. Open to all, no need to book.

Can you help out on the Day?

We often need friendly Sangha members to help make this sort of event run smoothly. Much of the work is done before and after, so you'd still be able to join in with everyone else. Please contact Sundeep on sundeep@manchesterbuddhistcentre.org.uk if you are interested in joining the organising team. Thank you!

Programme

6.30 pm: Tea and cake. We’d appreciate it if you could bring some cake and nibbles to share
7 pm: An opportunity to rejoice in Satyamuni. Satyamuni will also share her feelings about going to Akashavana
8 pm: Puja
8.30 pm: End

Health Issues

If there are any health issues, physical, emotional or mental, that could affect your participation in a course or event, please contact the Buddhist Centre on 0161 834 9232, and ask to talk confidentially to one of our Order members, before deciding whether to attend.

No charge, but as an unfunded charity, we rely on the generosity of people who use and value the Centre to help cover running costs, over £6,000 a week. We will welcome donations on the day and beyond.
