Join us in-person or online as we come together in large numbers to mark and celebrate the Sangha jewel in our lives, in one of the biggest festivals of the Buddhist year. There will be talks, ritual, meditation and a shared meal The day will also see the return of our famous skills auction.
The Centre will be closed apart from this festival. We’d love to see you for the whole day, but come to what you can. Please arrive a few minutes before each session you want to come to
10 am: Arrive from now to meet, relax, settle in with a drink
10.30: Welcome and introduction to Sangha Day by Satyamuni
10.40: Jataka Tale – Four Harmonious Friends – told by the families group, followed by reflection on gratitude
11.30: Break
11.50: Gratitude meditation led by Buddhasevaka. Alternative space for children and families in Vajra Hall
12.30: Lunch – quiet space available in library and meeting room. Please bring vegan food to share for lunch - doesn't need to be elaborate - or support one of the local cafés or takeaways
1.30: Sangha Day talk by Sanghadhara. We are our relationships – the Sangha Jewel as Truth
2.15: Silent leg stretch
2.25: Unveiling of Refuge Tree image for the Lotus Hall and dedication – Suryaka and Vishangka
2.45:Tea break, then discussion in small groups
3.45: Break
4 pm: Skills auction led by Alison, Maria and Vajranistha
5.30: End
