Sangha Night: Welcome Back, New Order Members!
Tue 16th Aug : 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

A celebratory evening to welcome back five dear friends as they return from being ordained in the Triratna Buddhist Order. We already know Buddhasevaka by his new name – meaning a servant of the Buddha. At the end of May, Kevin Statham became Pāranāyaka – He who leads others to the Further Shore – and Tom Connolly is now Candradīpa – Light of the Moon. In June Janet Hill received the name Amritasakhi – She who is a friend of the deathless nectar of immortality, and in July Nichola became Pravarasiddhi – She who has the most excellent attainments.
Suryaka, Vishangka and team will lead the celebrations in the Lotus Hall. You are welcome to join in person or online.
We’ll find out something about our friends’ Ordination retreat experiences and enjoy connecting with them and the rest of Manchester Buddhist Centre’s community in this special event in our two-monthly Sangha Nights series. Everyone’s welcome tonight and it’s a great chance to get to know our new Order members a bit, or maybe a bit more. Future Sangha Night dates are 18th October, 20th December
