An event every week that begins at 5:45pm on Wednesday, repeating indefinitely
A regular one hour class for anyone who wants to try meditation, or come to a led meditation session from time to time. No need to book, just turn up a few minutes before – we start on time!
£5 full rate, £3 low rate, depending on your circumstances and income We don’t want to turn anyone away. If you can’t afford the charges, then have a word with us - we’ll try and help. Please make sure you arrive in good time so the class isn’t disturbed by latecomers. We'll do our best to be flexible if you're delayed, but can't admit anybody more than five minutes after the start time.
There will usually be help with finding a comfortable meditation posture, on a chair or cushions on the floor, and a led body awareness meditation. Then a short, led meditation on developing either mindfulness with the breath or kindness and positivity towards ourselves and others.
These taster sessions give an idea of what our longer meditation courses cover, but they are also an opportunity to meditate in a led group, and you are very welcome to come as often as you like. Read about the kinds of meditation we teach.
You don't need to bring anything apart from yourself or wear anything special, but you might want some socks as we take our shoes off in the meditation halls.
These one-hour sessions run every weekday lunchtime, 1 pm Monday to Friday, as well as on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the early evening.
