Three Peaks National Fundraising Walk

Fri 5th Jul : 9:30 am - Sun 7th Jul : 2:00 pm

Walking Group

A group of intrepid Sangha members are setting off to raise valuable funds for the Centre on this summer weekend, walking the Three Peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. While they walk we will be engaging in a parallel 27-hour period of Buddhist practice here at the Centre.

About the Walk

Since last year’s Yorkshire Three Peaks fundraiser, a group of people from the Centre have continued to enjoy regular, and often quite ambitious, walks. This summer’s challenge is to climb the highest peaks of three countries, one after the other! They’ll be travelling a total of eight hundred miles, with the generous help of Michael Proctor and Vishangka driving the minibus.

The Three Peaks Walkers

The walkers are: Lisa Wilde, Martine Anson, Gemma, Kamila Szlif, Helen Sullivan, Claire Morris, Oliver Bernasconi, Peter Tristram, Paul Foster, Ollie Rose, Oskar Walin and Chloe Andrews. Peter Tristram is the organiser of this and all the Centre’s walks – please contact him with any queries on 07961 066715 or tristram660@gmail.com .

Please sponsor the Walkers!

This is a major fundraising event for the Centre – we are a registered charity with a big old building to run and don’t receive any outside funding, so we all need to join in and keep the Centre thriving! Please give generously and help us keep the doors open to the countless people who come here and value what they find.

• Give online through our Three Peaks National Walk page on Virgin’s not-for-profit money giving site, or directly at reception, any time up to the end of July
• Or you can sponsor any of the walkers individually if you see them. Most have their own Virgin Money Giving pages too, linked from the main one
