Tools for Living your Life: Creating Community

Sat 13th Nov : 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Hybrid Hybrid Event
£4 – £6
Fairy Lights at night

A friendly and practical weekly introduction to Buddhism and meditation, with the option of joining us online or attending in-person at the Centre. We cover a different topic each time, usually in series lasting a few weeks each. We start a new theme today – The Buddha’s Teaching on Creating Community – with a focus on generosity.

Everyone welcome, any Saturday

Whether you are completely new to Buddhism and meditation or want to revisit the core teachings in a friendly group, join us for a warm welcome on a Saturday morning. Come once or as often as you like, no need to be here at the beginning of a series. Suryaka, Shakyajata, Suryasraddha and / or Mahabodhi usually lead the sessions with a team of friends from the Centre.

The Buddha’s Teaching on Creating Community

This four-week course explores why the Buddha suggests that generosity, kindly speech, exemplification and meaningful activity are what bring into being a real and lasting experience of community. A community that leads to transformation – of ourselves and the world around us.
