Tools for Living: Loving Kindness with Sophie and Sangha Friends
Sat 13th Aug : 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
A friendly and practical weekly introduction to Buddhism and meditation, with the option of joining us online or attending in-person at the Centre - no need to book ahead. We cover a different topic each time, usually in series lasting a few weeks each, and each session includes a period of led meditation.
Our theme through July and August is Loving Kindness and we’re welcoming a number of guest teachers. Today’s session is led by Sophie, Barbara, Adele and Liz, long – standing Mitras from our Centre and members of a group of women who are training for ordination here and who meet regularly together to support each other on their paths.
Everyone Welcome, any SaturdayWhether you are completely new to Buddhism and meditation or want to revisit the core teachings in a friendly group, join us for a warm welcome on most Saturday mornings. Come once or as often as you like and there's no need to be here for the beginning of a series - each session stands alone and we always start with a recap. Although Shakyajata, Mahabodhi and/or Suryasraddha usually lead the sessions, some great guest teachers will be leading in July and August, along with the usual team of friends from the Centre.
Tools for Living - The Next Few Weeks• 13th August: Loving Kindness, with Sophie and Sangha Friends • 20th August: Loving Kindness, with Sanghadhara and Sangha Friends • 27th August: Loving Kindness, with Ratnaguna • 3rd September: New series starts, or maybe a one-off session
