Friendly and practical online weekly introduction to Buddhism and meditation with a different topic each time, in themes lasting a few weeks each. This autumn it’s Life with Full Attention.

Everyone Welcome, any Saturday

Whether you are completely new to Buddhism and meditation or want to revisit the core teachings in a friendly group, join us for a warm welcome on a Saturday morning. Come once or as often as you like, no need to be here at the beginning of the series. Suryaka, Shakyajata and / or Mahabodhi usually lead the sessions with a team of friends from the Centre, and we’ll be here online through the autumn.

Life with Full Attention: A Practical Course in Mindfulness

We often feel like we’re not living life to the full. It’s as if instead of directly experiencing life we’re lost in a cacophony of thought, anxiety and chaos. Increasingly people are turning to mindfulness for help with this, but the Buddha’s mindfulness teachings are far more than a way of coping with the stress of the modern world. They are a direct way of seeing deeply into the truth of life and living from that.

In these sessions you’ll learn, in a step-by-step way, how to practise the Buddha’s four fundamental dimensions of mindfulness, as well as how to apply them to the life you’re actually living. No preparation is needed, but you may want to read Maitreyabandhu’s Life with Full Attention

We want to offer as much as we can freely online for as long as can. These are very difficult times for us though, and being mostly closed means we have lost much of our income but not much of our costs: we need your help! So if you value our Centre and community, please make a regular or one-off donation here. The usual rates for these classes are £6 standard rate or £4 concessionary rate
