Tools for Living, Online: Meditation Practice Morning

Sat 1st May : 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Virtual Event

Friendly and practical online weekly introduction to Buddhism and meditation with a different topic each time, usually in themes lasting a few weeks each. This week though, we take a break from the current theme to offer a one-off special for both regulars and newcomers, led by Kevin Statham.

We will be exploring mindfulness and meditation – the two cornerstones of Buddhist meditation practice. The Buddha taught that mindfulness can lead all the way to Enlightenment but how do we keep the practice of mindfulness alive in our everyday lives?

There will be periods of guided meditation practice, with time and space for discussion and questions.

Everyone welcome, any Saturday

Whether you are completely new to Buddhism and meditation or want to revisit the core teachings in a friendly group, join us for a warm welcome on a Saturday morning. Come once or as often as you like, no need to be here at the beginning of a series and no need to book. Suryaka, Shakyajata and / or Mahabodhi usually lead the sessions with a team of friends from the Centre.

Supporting the Centre

We want to offer as much as we can freely online for as long as we can. These are very difficult times for us though, and being mostly closed means we have lost much of our income but not much of our costs: we need your help! So if you value our Centre and community, please make a regular or one-off donation here. The usual rates for these classes are £6 standard rate or £4 concessionary rate
