Tools for Living Online: The Spirit of Triratna Buddhism
Sat 29th May : 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Saturday, repeating until Sat 19th Jun, 2021
Friendly and practical online weekly introduction to Buddhism and meditation with a different topic each time, usually in themes lasting a few weeks each. Over six sessions this spring, we’re looking at different aspects of our Triratna Buddhist Community.
Everyone welcome, any SaturdayWhether you are completely new to Buddhism and meditation or want to revisit the core teachings in a friendly group, join us for a warm welcome on a Saturday morning. Come once or as often as you like, no need to be here at the beginning of a series and no need to book. Suryaka, Shakyajata and / or Mahabodhi usually lead the sessions with a team of friends from the Centre.
A Distinctive Approach within the Buddhist Tradition
The Triratna Buddhist Community seeks to get back to what is universal in the Buddhist tradition – practices that can jump centuries and cultures to speak directly to us here and now. Although we base our approach on the core teachings and practices common to all Buddhist schools, Triratna is also a radical and creative response to our present-day Western conditions. Not surprisingly, some things about Triratna are quite distinctive.
