Tools for Living: Why I am a Buddhist

Sat 6th Nov : 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Hybrid Hybrid Event
£4 – £6
Wild flowers and Buddha Figure

A friendly and practical weekly introduction to Buddhism and meditation, with the option of joining us online or attending in-person at the Centre. We cover a different topic each time, usually in series lasting a few weeks each. This week though, it’s a one-off session with Suryasraddha, Shakyajata and team on Why I am a Buddhist.

If you’re attending in-person, you’d be welcome to stay on and join in a bit of Cleaning Together as Spiritual Practice

Everyone welcome, any Saturday

Whether you are completely new to Buddhism and meditation or want to revisit the core teachings in a friendly group, join us for a warm welcome on a Saturday morning. Come once or as often as you like, no need to be here at the beginning of a series. Suryaka, Shakyajata, Suryasraddha and / or Mahabodhi usually lead the sessions with a team of friends from the Centre.

Why I am a Buddhist

A range of people will describe how we’re putting Buddhist teachings into practice in our lives. Why are we following this path? What difference does it make? Plenty of space to ask questions and simply meet Buddhists! We’ll do a bit of meditation too.

Come to the Centre or Join us Online

Around half of us come to Tools for Living here at the Centre, and half join in online from home. We're now inviting you to attend the class either in-person or online without needing to book, and the price is the same for both options. Whichever way you come, please be here in good time for a prompt and comfortable start.

£6 standard rate or £4 concessionary rate

Problem paying? We don't want to turn anyone away. If you are unable to pay the suggested rates, please contact the Centre Team on info@manchesterbuddhistcentre.org.uk and we'll work something out with you.

Coming In-Person?

If you're coming to the Centre, please read our advice on visiting the Centre in person. . We take Covid precautions seriously and now have air filters in both shrine rooms where classes are held.
