More Tools for Living your Life, with further meditation practice and discussion. There’s a different theme each time – this time Lokeshvara leads, basing the four weeks on Chapter 10, The Integrated Individual, of Sangharakshita’s book What is the Sangha:

“Becoming an individual . . . is a process of integration. Somehow we have to find a way of unifying the different selves that are within us, integrating our total being, conscious and unconscious, intellectual and emotional. As well as this integration, which we could call ‘horizontal’, there is also ‘vertical’ integration to achieve: an integration with our own unrealised higher potential, which is achieved through allowing ourselves to experience our heights – and our depths.”

Tools for Living: Going Deeper

These courses are an opportunity for anyone who has been to three themed series of Tools for Living at the Buddhist Centre, or has attended our Tuesday night Introduction to Buddhism and Meditation course. We also ask that you can attend at least three sessions, and are able to commit to some home practice outside of the sessions. The courses are held here in person and numbers are limited. They run throughout the year on different themes and provide further meditation practice as well as plenty of time for questions and discussion.

Prices

The price for the four weeks is £35 standard rate / £25 concessionary / £15 age 18 - 25. Payment still a problem? As a small unfunded charity, the Centre relies on the generosity of people who come here, but we don't want to turn anyone away from our events. If there are any health issues, physical, emotional or mental, that could affect your participation in a course or event, please contact the Buddhist Centre at info@manchesterbuddhistcentre.org.uk, and ask to talk confidentially to one of our Order members, before deciding whether to attend.

What if I have to cancel?

Get in touch - you can:
• Transfer to a similar event when possible
• Cancel and get a full refund if the event is more than 14 days away
• Cancel, but with a cancellation charge of £10 for a day event or six-week course, and £20 for a weekend event, if less than 14 days from the event date
