Taramaitri in kesa and ordination robe

Our friend Debbie was given the beautiful new name of Taramaitri at her Ordination in the Triratna Buddhist Order at Adhisthana last month. It’s a Sanskrit name meaning She who has the Love of Tara.

Everyone’s welcome at an online celebratory evening to welcome her back to our local community. Find out something about Taramaitri’s Ordination retreat experiences and enjoy connecting and rejoicing with the Manchester Buddhist Centre Sangha.

Do come along to this lovely evening and get to know Taramaitri a bit, or a bit more. No need to book, just turn up a few minutes before we start.

Getting the most out of Zoom
• Our online events are friendly and participative, often with opportunities to ask questions and share your own experience. Do turn your camera and microphone on if you can!
• If a session doesn't start on time, please give it a few minutes, there may be a sudden problem at our end
• If you have any accessibility needs that might stop you from attending our zoom sessions, do get in touch with us at info@manchesterbuddhistcentre.org.uk. We'll do what we can to remove any accessibility barriers

Supporting the Centre

We want to offer as much as we can freely online for as long as we can. These are very difficult times for us though, and being mostly closed for so long means we have lost much of our income: we need your help! So if you value our Centre and community, please think about making a regular or one-off donation here.
