Session 1: Who was the Buddha? Questions and Answers for Curious Minds

Thu 7th May : 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Sanghadhara, Ratnaguna and the Buddha

A conversation between Ratnaguna and Sanghadhara

On Saturday, our community celebrates our most important festival, Buddha Day, sometimes known as Wesak.

On the lead up to Buddha Day, join us for this special event, as Ratnaguna and Sanghadhara discuss who the Buddha was, and why his life and teaching are still as relevant now as they were 2500 years ago.

Ratnaguna and Sanghadhara will be having another conversation tomorrow at the same time

This event will be suitable for people who don’t know much about the Buddha and his life but want to find out more. However, it’s also a great opportunity for anyone who’d like to hear from two experienced Buddhist practitioners, as they share their personal reflections about what the Buddha means to them. They’ll also be plenty of time for questions via the YouTube chatbox.

We’ll be delivering this session through our YouTube channel. You’ll need to be logged into YouTube if you want to interact with the session, so please do that beforehand if you’d like to ask a question to Ratnaguna and Sanghadhara – we’re sure they’d love to hear from you!

Supporting the Centre

We want to offer as much as we can freely online for as long as can. These are very difficult times for us though, and being closed means we have lost much of our income but not much of our costs: we need your help! So if you value our Centre and community, please think about making a regular or one-off donation here.
