Saraha and friends lead a non-residential retreat here at Manchester Buddhist Centre, every day from 23rd to 31st December – come to any or all of the days. Everyone welcome, no charge, no need to book, bring warm socks!
• On 31st December we’ll stay on till midnight, to mark the turning of the year
• Saraha’s one-minute video invitation to the retreat
Through exercises to cultivate curiosity, meditation, dreams, words and magic we let the Dharma touch and transform our lives
The Centre will mostly be closed apart from this retreat – please be here a few minutes before we start the day, or before each session you want to come to
10.15 am Doors open – arrive:
10.30 to 1 pm: Meditation, reflection, exercises . . .
1 pm to 2.30: Lunch – we can go out together and get lunch locally, or bring vegan food to share
2.30 to 3 pm: Play, make, shake, destroy . . .
3 pm to 5 pm: Meditation, reflection, exercises . . .
Come just for one day, one session, to as many as you like. You are very welcome to come to all days. You are welcome to bring everything, to come as you are and to mark the end of the year by finding new and unexpected ways forward.
Most days I will introduce a method of reflective dialogue, an overlapping of meditation and communication. This can be practised in pairs, in small groups or alone. There will be plenty of opportunity to experiment through the retreat.
I’ve returned to Manchester after 25 years away. I hope to meet you – to share my passion for the Dharma and how it interacts with our lives.
