Opening to the Myth and Mystery of Self-Surrender

Dharmakarunya and friends lead an online day of meditation, talk, reflection and spiritual friendship for women Mitras training for Ordination and for Order members in the Triratna Buddhist Community. This day is no longer taking place in-person because of increasing Covid numbers.

What is a Mitra? What is an Order Member?

Prices

The price for this kind of day is now £24 standard rate / £16 concessionary / £5 age 18 - 25 and Helping our Centre rate. If the standard and concessionary rates don't feel possible, then please choose the Helping our Centre rate, which is also for Order Members coming along in a supportive spirit. Payment still a problem? As a small unfunded charity, the Centre relies on the generosity of people who come here, but we don't want to turn anyone away. Please contact the Centre Team on info@manchesterbuddhistcentre.org.uk and we'll work something out with you.

The Myth and Mystery of Self-Surrender

Self-surrender is one of the great myths of the spiritual life, as explored by Subhuti and others, that can act as doorways to deepening our practice. Originating in the teachings of Pure Land Buddhism, the myth of self-surrender can open us up to the great mystery of true entrusting, allowing depths within us to unfold. Let’s explore the myth of self surrender together during a day of practice with guided meditation, talks and reflections.
