Young Buddhists Social Evening at Dough

Fri 7th Dec, 2018 : 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Dough Pizza Restaurant

The Young Buddhists Group is a friendly informal group for people in their late teens, twenties and thirties, led by young people for young people, meeting monthly and supporting one another to deepen our experience of the Dharma, through friendship, events and study.

Tonight, instead of our usual meeting on 21st December, we are having a social evening at Dough, round the corner from the Buddhist Centre. Some of us will be going to Soda club night afterwards too – join us if you fancy it.

Please let us know you’re coming

As it’s so near Christmas, Dough needs a £5 deposit each, and there will be an envelope at reception to collect this – please leave your name and money by Tuesday 4th December so that Siladevi can confirm with the restaurant. Please contact us through the YoungBuddhistsMBC group on Facebook or our Whatsapp group to say you’re coming, or if you’d like to come but can’t get into the Centre before the fourth.

Who is the Centre’s Young Buddhists Group for?

Anyone aged 18 to 35 who has learned the two meditation practices we teach here – mindfulness of breathing and Metta Bhavana – and is interested in practising Buddhism with other younger people. We usually meet on the third Friday evening of the month. Interested? Just come along to one of our meetings or get in touch with us through reception or our YoungBuddhistsMBC group on Facebook. The group is currently led by Sanghadhara, Siladevi and Dan Johnston..

Health Issues

If there are any health issues, physical, emotional or mental, that could affect your participation in a course or event, please contact the Buddhist Centre on 0161 834 9232, and ask to talk confidentially to one of our Order members, before deciding whether to attend.
