Young Buddhists Group – My Ordination Journey

Mon 1st Aug : 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Candradipa receiving kesa

Within our tradition of Buddhism, Triratna, becoming an order member is the most significant commitment you can make. At this session, Candradipa will be talking about his three month ordination retreat in Spain, and sharing his inspiration with us.

Who is the Young Buddhists Group for?

Anyone aged 18 – 30 who is interested in exploring and practising Buddhism with other younger people. We meet on the first and third Monday evening of the month. Interested? Just come along to one of our meetings or get in touch with us through the Centre. We also have a Manchester Young Buddhists Group on Facebook.

There’s no need to book. We gather together in the Buddhist Centre lounge about thirty minutes before the start of the session and sometimes hang out together afterwards. It’ll be great to have you with us!

Before coming here, please read our advice on visiting the Centre in person for up-to-date information on our Covid precautions.

Health Issues

If there are any health issues, physical, emotional or mental, that could affect your participation in a course or event, please contact the Buddhist Centre at info@manchesterbuddhistcentre.org.uk, and ask to talk confidentially to one of our Order members, before deciding whether to attend.

Supporting the Buddhist Centre

Through the pandemic we have lost much of our income, and as a registered charity we need your help! So if you value our Centre and community, please think about making a regular or one-off donation here - choose Donate with Card if you don't have a PayPal account and do get in touch with any queries. Thank you!
